6 Day Family Safari – Victoria Falls, Chobe (Botswana) and Hwange National Park

Overview

Looking for a quick getaway with great rewards? Land in Victoria Falls, enjoy the bustling town, and a number of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Take a day to enjoy the wildlife in the chobe followed by a night in Hwange national park back in Zimbabwe.

A fun add on to the trip would be to have a professional filmmaker/photographer capture your family holiday for you giving you the chance to take in all the sights and experiences with the peace of mind that you will have the memories to take back with you.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 

Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport where you will be transferred to your Hotel in Victoria Falls.  

You will have the afternoon to relax, have a cup of tea and in the evening you will be collected from your hotel to go to The Boma restaurant for Dinner. This consists of an African drum show and a four-course traditional African meal.

Day 2

You can catch a short taxi ride to the Victoria Falls rainforest entrance and explore the Mighty Victoria Falls, have lunch either in the rainforest, back in town, or if you are feeling adventurous at the lookout cafe where you can do the gorge swing, zip line or canopy tour.

After lunch you will be collected from your hotel for a helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls, view the river and gorge as it cuts through the land it’s surroundings.

Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, where you can relax, and watch the spectacular African Sunset with a drink in hand. You may also be likely to see Hippo, crocodile, elephant and a number of plains game, not to mention a vast number of bird species.

Day 3

After an early breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for a full Chobe Day trip in Botswana. This includes a boat cruise on the Chobe River, lunch, and a game drive in the Chobe National Park. Chobe is home to an enormous population of elephant.

During the dry season the banks of the Chobe are strewn with herds of elephant. You are also very likely to see them swimming across the Chobe river onto Island and reed banks to feed. The Chobe river is also known for it’s vast number of bird species so don’t forget your cameras and binoculars.

You will be return to your hotel in the evening where you can either have a quiet dinner in, or go out to town and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that Victoria Falls has to offer.

Day 4 

You will be transferred from your hotel to Robin’s Camp in Hwange. You will have the option to relax for the afternoon or go on a game drive. Rodin’s camp has great wildlife, fantastic scenery and a real off the beaten track wild feel.

Day 5

Wake up before sunrise, enjoy a hot coffee or tea before heading out into Hwange National Park for a game drive. You have the option of a full day out with a packed lunch and drinks or return to camp for breakfast, relax by the pool, listen to nature and even have a siesta before your optional afternoon game drive where you will go watch the sunset in a breathtaking spot, next to a dam with hippo or onto of a hill overlooking vast plains of wilderness.

Day 6

You will be transferred back from Robin’s Camp to the Victoria Falls airport to catch your flight home.
